Madeline Ybarzabal

CO-FOUNDER & TEACHER

Madeline has over 15 years professional performing experience. She is a 2002 graduate of the Central Queensland Conservatorium of Music (Bachelor of Music Theatre). Upon graduating, Madeline was cast as the lead singer onboard the Pacific Princess cruise ship, which saw her tour around the world for 12 months performing a variety of musical shows and cabarets. Madeline then relocated to Japan for her next engagement as a soloist in the Broadway revue Encore! at Tokyo DisneySea.

Returning to Australia in 2006, Madeline was soon cast in her professional music theatre debut, CATS (The Really Useful Group). Originally cast as Jennyanydots, she then moved into the role of Jellylorum/Griddlebone and for the next 2 years toured throughout Taiwan, Korea, Thailand, Macau, and China.

In 2010, Madeline performed the Australian premiere of Georgia Stitt’s, Alphabet City Song Cycle and the following year was honoured to share the stage with Georgia Stitt and John Bucchino as part of their Australian concert series.

Other professional music theatre credits include Jekyll & Hyde (TML Enterprises), and Gale Edward’s acclaimed 2012 production of Chess (The Production Company).

2014 saw Madeline join the international cast of CATS, touring Asia as a swing, covering and performing the coveted role of Grizabella. In 2015 the production commenced a tour of New Zealand and Australia at which point Madeline was appointed Vocal Captain.

In 2018 Madeline performed her self-devised cabaret What is This Thing Called Love?, as part of the Mackay Cabaret Festival.

Madeline is a passionate and in-demand singing teacher and masterclass host. With a focus on technique and performance, Madeline has taught many students who have gone on to be accepted into some of Australia’s leading performing arts institutions including WAAPA and NIDA, and have performed in musicals throughout Australia and internationally.

Jordan Ybarzabal

CO-FOUNDER & TEACHER

Jordan is a graduate of the Central Queensland Conservatorium of Music (Bachelor Music Theatre). While at CQCM, he performed in productions of Closer Than Ever, The Sound of Music, Chess, Kiss Me Kate, Aspects of Love and Chicago. Jordan also performed principal roles in the operatic works Chu Chin Chow, The Land of Smiles, and the comic opera The Telephone.

After graduating, Jordan performed in musical productions throughout Queensland and Victoria, including Ragtime, Jake in Side Show (MTGV Best Supporting Actor nomination), Once On This Island, Jekyll & Hyde, The Best of Broadway & Beyond for Harvest Rain Theatre Company, and Anthony in Sweeney Todd, performing opposite the late Rob Guest.

In 2010, Jordan produced and directed The Music of Georgia Stitt, a revue of Stitt’s music including the Australian premiere of the Alphabet City Song Cycle.

After time away from performing, Jordan returned to the stage in 2019 in the roles of Grantaire and Bamatabois in Footlight Production’s Les Miserables, his first show in Geelong. Next he performed as Captain von Trapp in CenterStage’s production of The Sound of Music. Jordan was then invited to direct West Side Story for CentreStage.

REMY NOONAN

RESIDENT DANCE TEACHER

Remy began training at a very young age at Centrestage Performing Arts School in all styles of dance, singing and music theatre. In 2010 she studied at Patrick Studios Australia in the Fulltime Performing Arts Course, followed by the Fulltime Music Theatre Course, directed by Andrew Hallsworth in 2011. She has trained vocally with Madeline Cain, Tim Smith, Sally Bourne and Lisa-Marie Parker.

Her onscreen credits include various TVC’s as well as featured and minor roles on shows such as Neighbours, Blue Heelers, Horrace and Tina and was a host on Nickelodeon’s TVSN Series.

Remy has performed as a soloist and ensemble member in many events including Hats Off AIDS Benefit; Morning Melodies with Sylvie Paladino at Hamer Hall; Think Pink Charity Ball; Dance Cancer Initiative; AusDance; Racing Victoria; Starry Starry Night at the Crown Palladium, Lisa-Marie Parker’s Cabaret Night and has been featured in many nationwide Rock Eisteddfod’s for Foxtel’s Ovation. Remy also wrote, directed and performed a one-woman cabaret The Book of Remy at Chapel off Chapel in 2014.

Her choreographic credits include various pieces at Centrestage Performing Arts School, Showfit Showcase and PSA; Old Mother Hubbard at the Tivoli Theatre; Suitcases, Baggage & Other Synonyms Cabaret in the Melbourne Fringe Festival; the opening and closing of the BullyFree Australia Campaign Ball at Etihad Stadium featuring Cosentino; numerous corporate events at The Crown Palladium; as well as Guys and Dolls, Beauty and the Beast and Sweet Charity with Ruyton and Trinity Grammar (Victorian Lyrebird Award nomination). Most recently she choreographed West Side Story for CentreStage Geelong, a TV Commercial for the Australian TAC promotion ‘Strings’, as well as Footloose with OCPAC (Guild Award nomination). Remy also travels interstate teaching vocal, dance and music theatre workshops and master classes for the Soul Arts Convention Australia, and in 2016 fulfilled her scholarship to train in New York and Los Angeles, training amongst Broadway’s finest.

Remy also works as a talent agent at Centrestage Agency, looking after the careers of Victorian dancers, singers and actors.
